3 Days Clover Trail: The Race That Puts Vallehermoso on the National and International Trail Running Map!
The Vallehermoso City Council announces exciting changes for this demanding mountain race. Under a new stage format and in collaboration with the prestigious “3 Days Trail Ibiza,” the race promises to join forces and share synergies.
Vallehermoso’s mayor, Emiliano Coello, revealed the goal of this change: to grow and expand both participatively and communicatively. Inspired by the Ibizan model, the race will now be held over three days, from October 27 to 29. This calendar change aims to attract international athletes, especially from Germany, France, and Italy, who will have the opportunity to discover the island and the unique setting of Vallehermoso for trail running.
But that’s not all! The three days of 3 Days Clover Trail will be valid for the prestigious ITRA and UTMB rankings, awarding points for entry into the most exclusive events on the international calendar and the Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc, the most important event in this sport.
The Sports Councilor, Óscar Hernández, expressed his enthusiasm for this project and highlighted that the race will not only benefit the municipality during the event but will also generate economic impact in the months leading up to it due to the arrival of athletes who will come to train and explore the routes designed for the race.
The structure of the race is thrilling. The first day will feature a night race of 10 kilometers, offering an impressive descent from Roque Cano to Vallehermoso, creating memorable images of athletes illuminated by their headlamps. On Saturday, there will be two options: a 10-kilometer race ideal for beginners and a 25-kilometer race capturing the essence of the Clover Trail routes from previous editions. On Sunday, participants will complete the clover with another nearby 10-kilometer circuit.
